I was hoping for something more but there is no real information, tips, advice, guides about aids or help or care, medical discussion etc. Publicity suggests the book provides real insight from 'someone living with dementia' but according to the book, the author leads an incredibly busy, demanding life and dementia doesn't appear to impact terribly on it. If you're after some solid information about living with, caring with someone with dementia, there's not much for you here.Product details

As a person who works with those with all types of dementia. I find that Mr. Mc Namara claiming he himself has dementia it highly unlikely at best.

I love how this book gives you a honest insight of living with Lewy Body dementia. We need to hear more from those who are the true experts. And they are the ones that are confronted with the daily symptoms of the diseases. We need to listen them closely and learn. Thank you for writing this book.
A must read for anyone touched by Lewey Body Dementia or any other type of dementia Norm knows because he has lived it. Thank you Norm for all you have accomplished and for your friendship. Keep spreading awareness by sharing this book with your friends

Norman McNamara has made a career by claiming to have Lewy Body Dementia--which is doubtful by any standard. By definition, dementia is a PROGRESSIVE brain disease, diagnosed largely by that very progression. Its sufferers get worse and worse over time. All dementias are untreatable, incurable, progressive, and fatal. The average life expectancy after diagnosis of Lewy Body, is seven years. Yet McNamara, more than 10 years after diagnosis, continues to write, promote, maintain websites, blog, speak in public -- while true sufferers of the disease struggle to walk, talk, and toilet themselves. Draw your own conclusions.
